Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home that has a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African here citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identification Doc numbers, here names, and surname, as mirrored of their nsfas status check South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
